One of the best aspects of our collective giving model is the opportunity to get more involved:
Please feel free to contact us and express your interest. If your time is limited, your generous member donation is more than enough.
The best way to grow membership is organic growth. We love it when our members want to share their collective giving experience with their networks. If you’d like to hold an informal gathering, we can supply speakers (eg from our committee and/or previous applicants/winners) as well as promotional materials for coffee mornings, afternoon teas, evening drinks, etc.
Each year we need members to help us read and review Expression of Interest (EOI) Applications and select eligible, interesting and impactful projects to go forward for wider assessment.
Every member can participate in discussing the merits of applicants or raising concerns and questions to be followed up. The assessment team initially selects 8 semi-finalists, and following site visits and further research and information gathering, 4 finalists. The 4 finalists present at our annual Grants Celebration where members vote for the recipient of our $100,000 Primary Grant.
At all stages of the grants process decisions are made by majority vote.
Do you have experience with event management, marketing, web design, PR, social media, sponsorship, education? We would love to have some extra help in these areas, or feel free to suggest other ways you might like to assist.
Many of our applicant charities are actively in need of volunteer time and we can skill match and connect you directly where your input might be most useful.
This could be anything from joining a board, to occasionally helping with budgeting, stock management, strategic planning, mentoring or being hands on deck for events or program delivery.
Volunteering can be one-off, regular, or recurring.
If you’d like to be more closely involved, have feedback or suggestions, please contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
